Well, it’s for you. All for you. You are the appreciators.
You are not the “end consumer” in the long supply chain of cacao.
Inside the industry, we tend to think of the cacao supply chain as beginning with a producer or grower, then comes harvesting, fermenting, drying and storage/shipping, Then the beans continue on to the makers for roasting, grinding, refining, tempering, molding, packaging, marketing and finally the “end consumer”. I reject that concept.
The chocolate supply chain is ROUND. It is a beautiful and hardworking necklace.

This whole big long journey of cacao and chocolate - none of it matters without you. Heirloom and Fine-Flavored Cacao is special – sacred in some cultures. It is threatened by many things, nasty clones, industrialization, “commodity" beans notwithstanding. So many environmental and biological challenges out there. It is you who will preserve Heirloom and Fine-Flavor Cacao by recognizing it and appreciating it. You are the clasp in the cacao necklace!
